What is the Identity Network?

The Identity Network is a secure environment that allows you to protect the ownership of your identity and enables financial institutions, healthcare organizations, government agencies and others to provide services or credentials without the concern that their customers or applicants are fraudulently using a multiple or alias identity.

How do I get in the Identity Network?

When you apply for a driver's license, open a bank account, receive medical care or gain employment, you lend information about your identity to an organization and it is used to enroll you in their database. If the organization participates in the Identity Network, a small amount of your information (your name, gender, date of birth, address and country of birth) and a biometric (fingerprint, iris, facial image, signature or voice) is also registered in the Identity Network and matched against other registered information to confirm your ownership of a unique identity.

As more individuals are registered, their identity is also matched against those in the Identity Network to ensure that they are using a unique (and not stolen or false) identity.

The result: Your identity ownership is protected; others will not be able to acquire it. This eliminates the potential for individuals to create a multiple or alias identity using your identity and protects you from the emotional and financial harm of identity fraud.

We do not data mine or sell the information registered in the Identity Network; and we do not monitor transactions that require your identity information.
