Registered Financial Number
No one wants to have to restore the ownership of their financial identity . . . but every day some people are forced to.
Identity theft and fraud hits hard, emotionally and financially. Anyone who has had a bank account drained or credit cards obtained and used by an identity thief understands the harm.
Registration in the Identity Network protects you by protecting your identity ownership.
When you open a new bank account, obtain a credit card or apply for a home or auto loan, you lend information about your identity to a financial institution and it is used to either enroll you in their database as a customer or to access your existing financial accounts. If the bank or financial institution participates, a small amount of the identity information you provide (your name, gender, date of birth, address, country of birth) and a biometric (fingerprint, iris, facial image, signature or voice) is registered in the Network and matched against others to confirm your ownership of a unique identity.
As more individuals are registered, their identity is also matched against those in the Identity Network to ensure that they are using a unique (and not stolen or false) identity. Your identity ownership is protected; others will not be able to acquire it to fraudulently obtain financial services in your name.
We do not data mine or sell the information registered in the Identity Network; and we do not monitor transactions that require your identity information.
